Blood Bike North West is a volunteer group dedicated to serving those in our community who are under the care of the HSE.
What we do
At Blood Bike North West, we provide a vital, free-of-charge medical transport service, ensuring urgent medical supplies reach those who need them most. From life-saving blood and chemotherapy treatments to critical lab specimens and donor breast milk, our dedicated volunteers work around the clock to support hospitals, nursing homes, laboratories, and families across the region.
BLOOD SAMPLES
Efficient and secure transport of blood samples to ensure timely testing and seamless medical logistics.
BREAST MILK
Supporting premature and sick infants by transporting donor breast milk safely and swiftly to neonatal units, giving vulnerable babies the best start in life.
CHEMO DRUGS
Delivering time-sensitive chemotherapy treatments to ensure patients receive their medication promptly, helping maintain vital treatment schedules.
LAB SPECIMENS
Ensuring the rapid and secure transport of essential lab samples for testing, aiding in accurate diagnoses and timely medical decisions.
